Speculations on score creates nothing, but misunderstandings

MARDAN: Pakistan Tehreek Insaf (PTI) leader Haris Khan Toru on Monday said that the candidature as to who will contest for Mayor will purely be the party’s decision.

Haris Khan Toru who is son of former Inspector General of police (IGP) KP Fayaz Khan Toru said that speculations on this score may please be avoided, as it creates misunderstandings.

Toru added that moreover every second person in the party may be an aspirant, but the final decision will be the parties to which all and sundry may abide.

He argued that this is a stage where the PTI needs to be united and the differences in the party will be detrimental to the interests of the party.

Haris Toru added that we have a long way to go, this is the time to be united and not to be divided. Haris Toru appealed to all PTI members to be patient and wait till the party has taken some decision.

He added that he would further elaborate that it will be advisable that the party MPA comprises the electoral constituency for the mayor sit together and unanimously decide on the party candidate, to be further approved by the concerned authorities.
