Timely completion of projects top priority: KP CM

Peshawar: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan on Monday termed timely completion of High Priority Projects of provincial government as his top priority and said that his government is very much serious about the completion of those projects within next couple of years.

Chairing a meeting held here to review progress on High Priority Projects, Mehmood Khan made it clear to all the concerned quarters that there shall be no compromise on the timely completion of those public welfare projects stating that disciplinary action will be initiated against those responsible for any kind of delay in completion of projects.

Chief Minister directed Planning & Development department to regularly monitor the progress on those projects further directing the administrative secretaries to hold fortnight meetings to review progress on their respective projects.

Meeting during briefing was informed that during the preparation of budget for current financial year, a total of 216 High Priority Projects were identified out of which 94 projects related to the Newly Merged Districts.

“So far two of the projects had been completed whereas progress on 205 of them was on target adding that online tracking system has been developed to monitor progress on those projects.” The meeting was informed.

Chief Minister Mehmood Khan said that all the service delivery departments are required to come up to the public expectations with regard to service delivery.
