Unprecedented increase in admission fee at private schools protested

Rawalpindi: Students and their parents have expressed grave concern over enormous increase in admission and tuition fees by the management of private schools in Rawalpindi district in respect of new admissions.

Admission fee and monthly fee has been increased three fold in private and semi-government schools on the commencement of new academic year.

Admission fee has been raised from 7000 to 15000 in Play group, Nursery and Prep classes and upto Rs 16000 for fifth class. Monthly fee has been jacked up from 500 to 700 for every class.

All Private Schools have been strictly asked the students to buy new books, copies and uniforms from their school shop. These books, copies and uniforms are available at school canteen at higher rate by 10 to 16 % as compared to market rate. .
