Delimitation Commission’s recommendations unacceptable: Farooq Rehmani

ISLAMABAD: Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Convener All Parties Hurriyet Conference, here on Saturday in a press statement strongly denounced Modi government’s so called delimitation Commission’s recommendations and decisions to turn topsy-turvy the whole demographic nature of the disputed State of Jammu and Kashmir, terming it ultra-viries of the international law, UN resolutions and constitutional guarantees and different agreements between India and Pakistan.

He said that it was a Hitlarian persecuting campaign and a Zionists’ method to make Jammu and Kashmir a Hindu racist region by destroying under cover of so called delimitation process and by this sinister design , India, he emphasised, was giving a low population clean edge over a densely populous region of Kashmir province.

He warned that the recommendations were fraught with formidable dangers and this majority Muslim region could be turned into a Hindu region within next 5-10 years. It’s clear that Hindutva in India and Zionism in Israel were two faces of the same coin and kashmiris would never allow their land to be made a hotbed of Hindu racist policies of RSS from Delhi.

He said UN resolutions and the principles of the Charter should invoked and necessary steps be taken by Pakistan and OIC IN this regard. Most important step towards it would be a world conference by major States like Saudi Arabia, Turkey , Pakistan and contact group on Kashmir to prevent Indian Modi regime from implementing the Delimitation Commission’s report on J&K. He stated that Kashmir under surveillance and seige had given unbridled powers to the Delhi government in the Occupied part to silence the people and every 3 to 5 km area was stationed and encircled by army companies from end to end.

He told the onlookers of Kashmir developments that nothing was out of Indian military’s clutches and the Hindutva regime was prepared to take any lame excuse to begin with massacre of the people. But, apart from that India had other political and economic plans to change the Muslim demography and culture of this most fascinating State of the world.

Therefore , Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, reflecting views of the people and of the APHC said that there was opportunity to be left unused or everything left only over shoulders of the Kashmiris, who are empty handed, without any standing or reserved forces to fight against an army of huge conventional and non conventional resources and methods. He urged on the Security Council to initiate a debate on this situation as early as possible.
