‘Do more’ chapter closed forever: NSA Moeed

Islamabad: National Security Advisor Moeed Yousuf has said that Pakistan has closed the chapter of ‘do more’ once and for all, adding that decision to accept Taliban government would be taken on ‘appropriate time’

Talking to reporters on Sunday, Moeed said that Pakistan is engaging with world powers on regional issues. We want to enhance and improve our ties with all nations including US, he clarified.

NSA said that Pakistan has talked to regional countries on Afghanistan issue. Pakistan has discussed Afghanistan’s obstacles and their solutions during CIA Chief’s recent visit, he said.

Moeed said that Pakistan never wants an administrative or economic turmoil in Afghanistan.

He said that India’s Modi and Hitler are no different to each other. Modi is leading India into a blind alley. We never want to see Kashmir always suppressed and deprived.

Answering a question regarding Pak-US future course of action, he said that there is no point of presence of US troops on Pakistan’s soil. We share bilateral relations, and negotiate openly, he added.

NSA Moeed said that Pakistan will openly present its point of view in front of world now. We were not ‘heard’ on Afghan issue in past, but now world recognizes Pakistan’s input.

Talking about India’s involvement in Afghanistan, Moeed said that India has been investing in Afghanistan for more than 20 years. They were unifying anti-Pakistan elements and sentiments in Afghanistan, he said. But now Indian embassies who worked against Pakistan will never work efficiently in Afghanistan, he announced.

He said that recognition of Taliban government will take place on appropriate time. World should engage Taliban diplomatically, he suggested.
