Govt should file Pandora Papers Reference in Supreme Court & follow directions of SC on JIT & TORs: Liaqat Baloch

LAHORE : Deputy Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan and former parliamentary leader Liaqat Baloch has said that dialogue is the only peaceful way for peace and stability but the interior minister has exposed the prime minister’s announcements by announcing his ignorance of peace talks. Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid, who is very knowledgeable and influential, has discredited Prime Minister Imran Khan’s claim to take credit for the peace talks. The one who will pave the way through negotiations will also take credit.

Liaqat Baloch said that the ‘successful program’ of the Prime Minister is a failed program like the yellow taxi, green tractor, cheap bread and cheap bazaar schemes of the previous governments. For the ‘successful program’, it was first announced that Rs. 37 trillion would be allocated to assist 7 million families, but at the beginning, Rs. 14 trillion were announced for only 3 million families. The Corona (Covid-19) relief program also collapsed. This is also Khan’s aerial program.

Liaqat Baloch said that the national economy suffers from price hike, unemployment, inflation, rising electricity, gas, petrol prices and the worst debt burden. An election plan based on national priorities and national consensus is the need of the hour to save the people from life of humiliation.

Liaqat Baloch said that Imran Khan’s governmental, unilateral, hasty action on Pandora Papers has raised suspicions. The government should file Pandora Papers Reference in the Supreme Court and follow the directions of the Supreme Court on JIT and TORs. Until the investigation is completed, ministers, government and military officials should be removed from their offices.

He said that Jamaat-e-Islami will knock at the door of the Supreme Court and the people against the Panama Lakes, Pandora Papers and the bribery of loan waivers, corruption, abuse of power. Protection of the corrupt mafia under the government umbrella is deepening inflation, unemployment, continued rise in electricity, gas, petrol prices, economic and moral crisis.
