KP CM performs ground breaking of various uplift projects in Buner

Peshawar: Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Friday performed ground breaking of a number of developmental projects to be completed at a total cost of Rs.4567 million.

These projects include construction of 12 Km long Malik Pur Bypass Road, construction of new building for Government Degree College Gadizai, upgradation of Rural Health Centre Jowar, construction of multi-purpose Gymnasium, construction of Swarai to Dagar Bypass Road and Academic Block of Buner University and upgradation of district headquarter hospital Dagar.

Mahmood Khan also inaugurated newly constructed building of the Government Higher Secondary School Gadizai which was completed at an estimated cost of Rs74 million.

Later on addressing a public gathering, the chief minister announced Rs1.00 billion for the supply of gas, Rs 300 million for electricity works and Rs 300 million for the construction of various roads in district Buner.

He also announced to start a project to connect district Buner with Swat Motorway, construction of Karakar Tunnel and establishment of a low cost housing scheme for low income people at an area of 400 Kanals in Buner.

In his address, he said that workers of other political parties were coming into the fold of PTI in droves which was a clear proof that the people have full confidence in PTI government and its policies.

Bashing the opposition parties for their unjust move against the government Mahmood Khan said that some jobless political people of Pakistan Democratic Movement gathered in his home town last week but they miserably failed to get the attention of the people and the public turned a deaf ear to their call for public gathering adding that the message of PTI and its leader Imran Khan for change has reached door to door and now onward there is no space for those political groups who only deceived the public and looted the public resources for their personal gains.

He said that dynamic leadership of Imran Khan put the country on the path of rapid development, stabilized its economy and raised the GDP growth rate to more than 4 per cent.

Touching upon the pro poor initiatives of the provincial government, the Chief Minister said Sehat Card Plus scheme was a flagship and matchless scheme of PTI government which ensured free treatment facilities to the entire population of the province adding that his government is giving serious thinking to include the overseas Pakistanis of KP in the scheme as well.

Mahmood Khan remarked that in order to ensure quality education the children of poor people, his government was working on introducing Education Card on the analogy of Sehat Card. “Similarly, his government is also planning to introduce Rashan Card to provide free Rashan to the deserving families on monthly basis”, the chief minister maintained adding that Kisan Card was also being launched to provide seeds, pesticides and fertilizers to the farmers on concessional rates.

Talking about the developmental strategy of his government, Mahmood Khan said that result oriented steps were being taken to develop all the backward districts of the province on equal basis adding that there would be no injustice to any part of the province in this regard. He said various developmental projects worth Rs 7 billion have been reflected in the new Annual Development Plan for district Buner.
