MTI Swabi starts providing free of cost medicines to Cardio, Sugar patients in OPD

Peshawar: MTI Bacha Khan Medical Complex Swabi begins to provide free medicines to Cardio and Sugar Patients in OPD on Tuesday 18th Jan, 2022.

MTI Bacha Khan Medical Complex acting Director Dr Amjad Mehboob on Tuesday inaugurated a free medicine camp in Main OPD with the help of HEAC international patient welfare organization. HD BKMC appreciated the efforts and said that poor patients will now get free medicines ranging from two thousand to six thousand twice in a month.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Project Director Dr Nazim Shahzad said that HEAC is a global patient welfare organization which gives free medicines to patients suffering from heart and sugar diseases.

He said that this is the fourth medical teaching institute in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with which an agreement was signed to set up free medicine camps. Project director said that after Peshawar, Swat and tribal districts, free medicines now started for the people of Swabi district.

Dr. Ibrahim, Assistant Professor in-charge of MTI BKMC Cardiology Ward appreciated the activity and said that like all over the world, there is a worrying increase in heart patients in Pakistan for which awareness is the need of the hour along with this type of free medicine camp.

More than Hundred Patients facilitated on the first day that came to OPD while the same would be continued twice a month, spokesman MTI BKMC said that it was the best opportunity for people of Swabi to take advantage of this free medicine camp at MTI BKMC.
