Mufti Muneeb arrives at Namoos-e-Riyasat March

Rawalpindi: Mufti MuneebulRehmanhas arrived with members of Shura in Namoos-e-Riyasat March.

Government of Pakistan has released two members of the Majlis-e-Shura Dr. Muhammad Shafiq and Pir Syed Zaheerul Hassan ShAh and the 2 members along with other members of Shura reached Wazirabad from Islamabad.

Mufti MuneebulRehman said that talk has been held with the government andafter consultation with the members of the Shura, the participants will go to the nearby park and sit-in will continue in the park till the government accepts 50% percent of the demands.After the release of AllamaSaadRizvi, the sit-in will be ended completely. He said that they would vacate the GT Road under the agreement.

Addressing the participants of a sit-in in Wazirabad staged by the proscribed Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), he said “We have to move wherever the leadership directs us.”

He said that the government has assured them of removing restrictions from the party. “It will take one week to remove the word proscribed from the TLP,” he added.

On the other hand, the residents of Rawalpindi breathed a sigh of relief as the authorities opened all roads for traffic after a 12-day closure following an agreement with the proscribed TLP.

The containers and barricades have been removed from all roads between Rawalpindi and Islamabad. As life is returning to normalcy in the twin cities, the authorities have also restored the Metro Bus service in Rawalpindi.

In Gujranwala, the protesters are still present at Allah WalaChowk in Wazirabad and all the educational institutes and markets near the venue will remain closed on (Monday).

The Lahore-Islamabad portion of GT Road is also still closed for traffic and the authorities have yet to take any measures to fill the trench dug up near Chiragh Toll Plaza.
