PM directs to construct two nursing colleges in Gwadar, Turbat soon

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has directed Turbat airport be completed and two nursing colleges be constructed in Gawadar and Turbat as soon as possible. .

He was presiding over a high level meeting here Saturday. The pace of progress on development package of North Balochistan was reviewed in the meeting.

The Prime Minister remarked issues of Balochistan are different from rest of the country and its population is scattered, and due to long distances we have to find out of box solutions to improve the lives of the people of Balochistan.

He directed the Balochistan government to revamp its governance structure at the grassroots level not only to accelerate the pace of work on development projects but also to improve upon the service delivery to the common man.

The PM was told in the briefing that only one meeting of apex committee was held in one year.

The PM expressed concern over slow paced work in development projects and non holding of apex committee meeting under Chief Minister (CM) Balochistan.

The Prime Minister said he will personally hold review committee meetings every month to remove impediments in the completion of development projects

The PM stressed on convening apex committee meeting every month and execution committee meeting after every 15 days to accelerate the pace of work on 200 development projects of Rs 665 billion.

He directed the concerned authorities to complete Turbat airport and construct 2 nursing colleges in Gawadar and Turbat as soon as possible.
