PPP concerned at price hike of basic commodities at Utility stores

Islamabad: Pakistan Peoples Party’s vice president Sherri Rehman on Thursday while showing concern over increase in the prices of basic commodities at utility stores said that price-hike is alarming.

In a statement, Sherri said that government’s incompetency will snatch utility stores away from commoner’s reach.

PPP vice president said that mini-budgets have been presented every other day in shape of price hikes, adding that this inflation has occurred due to Prime Minister Imran Khan and his cabinet’s negligence.

“Overall inflation rate was recorded at 12.28 percent last week” said Sherri adding that “poor have already been worst hit by inflation”.

Sherri Rehman said that government should abruptly undo its decisions to provide immediate relief to the poor.
