RAWALPINDI: Punjab government has decided to restore the local governments after Eid ul Azha all over the province.

The meeting of special committee which was set up for restoration of local government system as per Supreme Court order has been called on July 23 (Friday).

Secretary local bodies, secretaries of union councils, the respective assistant commissioner and director local government will participate in the meeting.

The action plan on restoration of local government institutions will be given final shape in the meeting. A report to this effect will be presented to government.

Important meeting has been convened for restoration of Tehsil Council Rawalpindi.

The complete time frame for restoration of local governments will be finalized in the meetings.
