LAHORE: Deputy Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan and Secretary General of Milli Yakjehti Council Liaqat Baloch met with Allama Syed Jawad Naqvi, Head of Jamia Urwatul Wusqa and agreed that some elements are creating an atmosphere of sectarianism and extremism through irresponsible attitude.

Liaqat Baloch said that the overwhelming majority of Pakistanis believe in unity, solidarity and harmony. A consultative meeting on the issue of National Unity of the Ummah will be convened on August 1 to draw up a plan of action. The meeting of the Supreme Council of Milli Yakjehti Council will be held on August 5 under the auspices of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen.

Liaqat Baloch in a meeting with the participants of Balochistan at the Central Consultative Meeting said that Balochistan is the largest province of the country in terms of area, rich in mineral resources. Prosperity of Balochistan can make the whole country prosperous. The powerful forces of the federation bypassed the people and youth of Balochistan and deprived the people of Balochistan of their rights, education, health facilities and employment by patronizing the chiefs, vested interests and corrupt groups. In Balochistan, the rulers of every era made a lot of statements, speeches and promises but did not implement them.

Liaqat Baloch said that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s announcements, like all other announcements and promises, have vanished into thin air. To address the grievances of angry and troubled people in Balochistan, the missing persons should be released, the fruits of CPEC should directly benefit the people and a National Jirga should be formed for dialogue. Simultaneous attention should be paid to the public issues of Balochistan and the integrated districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Liaqat Baloch said in a mid-afternoon snack ceremony that the Taliban in Afghanistan and the Afghan people were not in any competition with the United States in terms of political, economic, technological, military power, but faith, national pride, the spirits of not accepting slavery and protecting every corner of their homeland have helped the Afghan people emerge successful. Peace, stability and development in Afghanistan are key to stability in the entire region. In the face of all global conspiracies, the Afghan leadership must adopt the Makkah Doctrine of Victory. Let the Afghan leadership consciously thwart all conspiracies with its unity. The people of Pakistan are with Islam and the Afghan people.
