ISLAMABAD: interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad has said unfortunately questions are raised on merit always in the country.

“ if federal police takes into account merit then the citizens will be able to get justice”, he said this while addressing prize distribution ceremony of police force in Police lines here Thursday.

He went on to say who loses courage can never compete.

He held there were 80- million votes in 2013 while 120 million votes have been registered in 2020.

We are enhancing police recruitments, he said adding we hope the competition will be held on merit.

“We are giving more package for martyrs. I have talked to Prime Minister (PM) on Shuhada package, he indicated.

Islamabad has been expanded too much, he observed.

We could not pay full package of Shuhada, he said adding I could not meet with finance minister. Soon this matter would be resolved, he hoped.

No leniency should be shown to criminals, he stressed. If we show leniency today then they will commit heinous offence tomorrow.

Safeguarding life and property of citizens is responsibility of the state, he underlined. The personality is not elevated by raising the buildings.
