ISLAMABAD: PTI leader Dr. Sania Nishtar on Wednesday revealed the total amount received by the donors during former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s fund raising telethon.

Recently, the former premier had arranged a telethon, which was aired on mainstream channels as well as social media to collect funds for flood-hit people.

On Wednesday, Dr. Sania Nishtar revealed that amount of promised money in telethon was 15 billion rupees, while the party received only 4.32 billion rupees in its accounts.

In a written statement, Dr. Sania Nishtar said there were several reasons which caused the actual funds to decrease. She said that sanctions over international transactions and unavailability of payment through Credit Cards could be the reason this.
