“The calendar of Pakistan’s founding year 1947 and 2014 had not only similarities in the sequence of days but also in sense that 1947 was year of withdrawal of the British Empire from the region and hopefully 2014 will be proven as the year of withdrawal of US and NATO forces from the neighbouring country, Afghanistan” he observed while addressing an interaction titled ‘Catch the Moment with Mushahid Hussain’ organized by NUST Bazm-e-Pakistan (NBPK) to discuss the country’s past, present, future, successes and failures.

Senator Mushahid Hussain, while highlighting the achievements of Pakistan, said the country’s positive contributions for international community are widely recognized and specially acknowledged by the Muslim countries like Bosnia, Afghanistan and Arab states who consider Pakistan as “source of strength and inspiration” and thankful for the support during their independence movements.
