2 routes evolved for RWP-IBD metro bus service

RAWALPINDI: Secretary Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Rawalpindi Owais Manzoor Tarar has said Punjab government will soon launch metro bus service between Rawalpindi and Islamabad.

He said that two routes have been worked out in this connection. First route will start from Rawalpindi to Faizabad Murree road and second route will commence from Rawalpindi Swan Pull and terminate at IJP road Islamabad via GT road.

Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif had earlier announced to launch metro bus service for the citizens of twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. He had got completed the survey in this regard through Punjab Metro Bus Authority. PC-1 of the project was completed and sent to concerned authorities But no work was started sparking off despair and disappointment among the citizens.
