38 suspects arrested during search operation

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Tarnol and Golra Police conducted search operation in its respective areas and arrested 38 suspects’ also recovered 11 bottles of wine.

According to details, Islamabad police have devised a comprehensive plan for search and combing operation in Afghan and slum areas of the city to arrest suspects and those illegally staying in the city.

This plan has been chalked out following the directions from Inspector General of Police Islamabad Sikandar Hayat. The main purpose of this operation is to arrest suspects and criminal elements staying in these areas.

Police teams headed by SP Saddar Zone Jamil Ahmad Hashmi including SDPO Saddar Ch.Arshad, SHO Tarnol SI Ashiq Khan, SHO Golra Siddique with other police officers/officials on Friday conducted search operation in Shaheen Abad, Pind Paracha and Chungi No.26.

These teams arrested 38 suspects and recovered 11 bottles of wine from them. Further investigation is underway from these suspects.

The SSP Islamabad Muhammad Rizwan also directed all heads of police stations to continue this operation and ensure protection to the lives and property of the citizens besides ensuring arrest of mischievous elements.
