ISLAMABAD: Judge Muhammad Bashir of Accountability Court (AC) has returned fake accounts cases against Asif Ali Zardari to NAB due to amendment in NAB Law.

The court has returned 4 references to NAB.

The fake accounts cases against Asif Ali Zardari and other accused persons came up for hearing before AC here Friday.

Judge Muhammad Bashir of NAB announced the decision after hearing the arguments from the respondents.

Farooq H Naik counsel for Asif Ali Zardari and NAB prosecutors appeared in the court.

Farooq Naik argued that these references donot fall in the jurisdiction of court after amendment in NAB law. AC cannot run trial process in respect of these references.

The court returned to NAB money laundering references against Asif Ali Zardari, Faryal Talpur, Hussain Lawai and others.

Plot allotment references against Manzoor Qadir, Sindh bank reference against Bilal Sheikh and other accused and pink residency reference were also returned to NAB. .
