Acute water shortage hits Dhoke Matkial, New Afshan Colony

RAWALPINDI: Due to negligence of WASA authorities, the residents of Dhoke Matkial and New Afshan Colony are facing acute shortage of water.

In view of this, the resident started protest demonstration and has taken decision to approach the consumer court in this regard.

The residents of Dhoke Matkial Boring road told that the tube well number 83 is not functioning from five month and the 20,000 to 30,000 residents living at Boring road are compel to buy water from WASA while the WASA is acting like a silent spectator.

Meanwhile, the residents of New Afshan colony are also facing acute shortage of water due to the close of water pipeline form one week while the cantonment official is not paying heed towards this grave issue.

The residents of the area claimed that they lodge complaint in cantonment several times but no head was paid to their woos. The residents demanded from concerned authority to pay attention towards this grave otherwise they would start protest demonstration.
