PESHAWAR: PTI leader Azam Swati has challenged in court the decision of linking Senate election in KP to oath taking on reserved seats .

The petitioner has filed petition in Peshawar High Court (PHC) through Ali Azeem Afridi advocate.

According to petition Senate election process will be affected due to this decision of Election Commission (EC).

Ensuring Senate election on time is constitutional responsibility of the EC.

It has been said in the petition that EC has not heard candidates in Senate election matter and issued decision without hearing.

The members who were heard have been elected just now and they have not taken oath. The petitioner Azam Swat is candidate in Senate election. He was not heard.

Azam Swat took this plea in the petition that delaying Senate election in KP is illegal.
