Bar integral part of judicial system: CJ LHC

LAHORE: Chief Justice, Lahore High Court (LHC), Justice Umar Ata Bandial said that Bar is an integral part of judicial system of the country.

The Chief Justice was talking to a delegation of newly elected cabinet of Lahore Bar Association in his chambers today.

He said the institution of judiciary remains incomplete sans advocates because Bar and Bench cannot survive without each other.

Chief Justice congratulated the newly elected office bearers and said that they should be proud of being leaders of the oldest Bar of Asia which has produced best judges for the superior judiciary.

“It is a great seat of learning and hone your professional expertise from this forum”, Chief Justice advised the young Bar members.

Chief Justice stressed upon the Bar to restore dignity and honour of courts, it will enhance confidence of masses in the system of dispensation of justice which is necessary of ensuring peace and tranquillity in a society.

Lahore Bar thanked the Chief Justice for giving them a patient hearing and assured that it will eliminate of culture of random strikes.

However, for raising voice in case of extreme genuine matters, a token call will be given after 11.00 am so that litigant public may not suffer. Bar body also spoke about its problems and Chief Justice said that these will be looked into sympathetically.
