BHC suspends Imran Khan arrest warrants for two weeks

QUETTA: Balochistan High Court (BHC) has suspended arrest warrants of PTI chairman Imran Khan for two weeks.

Iqbal Shah advocate leader of Insaf Lawyers Forum had filed petition against arrest warrants of Imran Khan.

The petitioner had taken plea in the petition case could not be registered in Bijli road police station because the allegation on the basis of which the case was registered does not fall in the jurisdiction of Bijli road police station.

The petitioner had requested the court to dismiss the FIR against Imran Khan.

Justice Zahir ud Din conducted short hearing of petition.

The court while fixing for hearing the petition seeking dismissal of case against Imran Khan suspended the non bailable arrest warrants of Imran Khan for two weeks.

The court issued notices to IG Police, DIG, SP Legal and SHO.

The court also issued notice to Khalil Kakar who has registered case against Imran Khan.

Quetta Police had reached Lahore to arrest Imran Khan before suspension of the warrants.

Quetta Police returned without arresting Imran Khan as soon as BHC suspended arrest warrants.
