ISLAMABAD: Finance ministry has confirmed to announce budget for the fiscal year 2023-24 will be presented on June 09.

The meeting of Annual Plan Coordination Committee has been called on June 02 and meeting of National Economic Council (NEC) on June 03.

According to private TV channel finance ministry has said Prime Minister (PM) Shebaz Sharif will preside over NEC meeting. The budget targets for the financial year 2023- 24 will be given final shape in the meeting.

The provincial authorities will also attend both the meetings. National Development program for new budget will be reviewed in meeting of APCC.

According to finance ministry Rs 700 billion have been allocated under the head of Federal Development Program. However PM Shahbaz Sharif can enhance development program upto Rs 1000 billion.

The total volume of next financial year budget is proposed to be kept Rs 14600 billion.

Committees have been constituted to provide relief to people.
