CDA to provide civic amenities to all residents: Chairman

Islamabad: The Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Maroof Afzal said that CDA is duty bound to provide all the civic amenities to the all residents.

The CDA would utilize its best efforts and resources to make this city beautiful, green, neat and clean, he added.

In this regard on the demand of residents of D-12, G-13 and G-14, he directed the Member Engineering and Environment Sanaullah Aman to extend CDA’s sanitation services to these newly established sectors.

He directed member Engineering and Environment to make necessary arrangements for the provision of collection and disposal of garbage services from these sectors along with provision of other sanitation facilities.

Following the directions of the Chairman, Member Engineering and Environment CDA, Mr. Sanaullah Aman has instructed the concerned formations of the Authority to finalize the arrangements to ensure cleanliness of these areas on daily basis.

He said that due to construction of new houses, population of these sectors has increased. He further said that on the request of the residents, the Chairman has directed to provide regular sanitation services to these sectors and the same directions have been conveyed to the sanitation staff.

The Chairman CDA has directed the Authority to launch a special anti litter drive from February 13 in the entire city. The cleanliness campaign will start from sectors of “I” series as its first phase. To make this campaign a success, CDA will ensure participation and co-operation of citizen, traders, civil society, students and people from other walks of life in this campaign. Member Engineering and Environment Mr. Sanaullah Aman will supervise this anti litter campaign.

Sanaullah Aman further said that in order to improve conditions of public toilets at public places, instructions have been issued to immediately repair thirty four (34) dysfunctional public toilets.
