Chairman CDA directs employees to invest their energies for welfare of residents

ISLAMABAD: Chairman, Capital Development Authority (CDA), Maroof Afzal said all employees of CDA should work hard, invest best of their energies for welfare and comfort of residents of the Capital City.

Chairman CDA, Maroof Afzal gave these remarks while chairing a high level meeting at his office today.

All members of the CDA board and heads of all formations were also present during the meeting.

Joint and concreted efforts are required from all formations of CDA for result oriented actions. Close co-ordination among all organs should be ensured so that CDA operations may get more fruitful for the residents of Islamabad, the Chairman added.

The meeting was followed by a visit to different areas of the city by the Chairman CDA. All board members and senior officers of the Authority accompanied the Chairman.

The Chairman visited different areas of Islamabad including sector I-8, I-9, I, I-10, Sabzi Mandi, Sector H-11, Kashmir Highway, G-13, G-12, G-11 and G-10 sector. The Chairman inspected different offices and installations of CDA in these areas as well.

The chairman visited the field offices of CDA and directed the concerned authorities to make their services more interactive with concentration on feedback and suggestion from the citizens. The chairman personally checked the enquiry registers and directed the concerned staff to ensure feedback from the complainants after their problems are solved.

The Chairman inspected the Fire Brigade formation of CDA at I-9 Sector and checked the availability of necessary equipment.

During this comprehensive visit the chairman inspected water filtration plants also. On this occasion the chairman directed the concerned staff to ensure supply off treated water to the citizens.

He also directed the concerned staff to display the schedule of change of filters of the treatment plants at prominent places. He directed the staff to make the log books at the water treatment plants accessible to common citizens and also to maintain the complaint register.

During his visit the chairman stressed on continued anti encroachment drive for the comfort of the citizens of Islamabad. The Chairman particularly stressed that only areas reserved for parking should be used for parking purpose, while strict action should be ensured against the illegal parking places.
