Chairman POF Gold Cup Basketball Championship

Islamabad: KPK and FATA won their matches in the fourth day of the Chairman POF Gold Cup Basketball Championship at POF Basketball Court, Wah Cantt, on Sunday.

In the first match, Islamabad beat POF Wah by 50-49.Muhammad Umer and Usman Ranja 20 and 10 scores for winning team respectively and Umer Saleem and Haider Zaman scored 16 and 18 baskets respectively for loser team. while in the second match, KPK defeated FATA by 58-40. Kaleemullah and Muhammad Umer scored 17 baskets each for KPK while Bilal Khan and Waheed Khan scored 14 and 13 respectively for FATA.

The third match was won by the FATA who defeated POF Wah by 30-64. Faisal (19) and Waheed Khan (10) played well for FATA and Mehtab and Mohsib scored 8 baskets each for POF Wah.

Meanwhile KPK edged Sindh by 31-55 in the fourth match. Harish and Zeeshan of KPK scored 13 and 10 respectively while Saad(11) and Masroor(7) played well for loser.

Secretary, Pakistan Basketball Federation, Col ® Naseem Butt said that seven teams took part in the championship, Punjab, KPK, Balochistan, Sindh,FATA, Islamabad and POF Wah on league basis. The last match of the league will be played between KPK and Punjab at 3.00 p.m.
