CID police arrest TTP leader in Karachi

Karachi: Hours after terrorists killed three anti-polio campaigners in the metropolis, the Crime Investigation Department (CID) of police claim to have arrested a key commander of banned terror outfit, Abdul Hameed Mehsud, during a raid in Karachi on Tuesday.

Officials said that that Abdul Hameed Mehsud had been operating for banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and was placed at the list of wanted suspects.

CID police raided a house in Sohrab Goth area of Karachi on Tuesday afternoon and arrested Taliban commander.

The suspect was involved in terror attacks, extortion and kidnapping for ransom.

Hameed Mehsud’s involvement has also been revealed in murders of policemen and other civilians.

The suspect has been shifted to undisclosed location for investigations.
