CIED solves 3,659 cases during February

Islamabad:  The Commission of Inquiry on Enforced Disappearance has solved as many as 3,659 cases until February 28, 2019.

The commission, during the month of February, held as many as 751 hearings and solved 68 cases.

According to a fresh monthly report issued by the commission Secretary Freed Ahmed Khan, the commission received as many as 5,777 cases related to missing persons.

The commission received 76 cases during last month. The total number of the received cases was 5,853. As many as 2,194 cases are under proceeding. In provincial wise, the commission preceded 317 cases in Islamabad, 81 in Peshawar and 114 in Lahore.

The family members of the missing persons appreciated personal interest of the commission chairman Justice Javed Iqbal for its sincere efforts to overcome miseries and worries of the missing people’s families.
