Cipher case hearing adjourns till Monday

RAWALPINDI: The hearing of the cipher case against former Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and former Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mahmood Qureshi has been adjourned till Monday.Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain of the special court established under the Official Secrets Act heard the cipher disappearance case in Adiala Jail, the judge himself drove a car to reach the court.The FIA team reached Adiala Jail along with records while Chairman PTI lawyers, Prosecutor Shah Khawar, Zulfiqar Abbas Naqvi Advocate and Special Prosecutor Rizwan Abbasi were also present in the court room.Apart from this, Chairman PTI's sister Aleema Khan, wife Bushra Bibi, Shah Mehmood Qureshi's family also reached Adiala Jail.During the long hearing yesterday, the Ministry of Law submitted the notification of the Official Secret Act in the court. Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain said in his remarks that there is a problem with their production, today they will give the next date, justice will not only be done but it will also be seen.Spec ial court said that the High Court did not declare the hearings so far illegal, but because it was not an open court, the trial was declared illegal. The trial will be held in Adiala Jail and the High Court has directed that Cipher case's trial should be completed within 4 weeks.
