Civic body to initiate one window operation

ISLAMABAD: Chairman CDA Maroof Afzal Tuesday said that CDA is decided to revive One Window Operation to facilitate, business community as well as the residents of the federal capital. Speaking to a delegation of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) led by its President Shaban Khalid the chairman CDA said that through this new one window operation citizen will feel easy as their complaints and problems will be addressed under one roof. He stressed that the functionality and purpose of the One Window Operation is to implement the transparency which will be ensured.

He informed that his first visit was to check the status of work on Kashmir Highway and said that CDA has expedited the pace of work on the expansion and rehabilitation of Kashmir Highway. He said hopefully this project, which remained under construction for the last 3 years, would be completed soon and one side of Kashmir Highway would be opened within 40 days to ease the woes of commuters & citizens of Islamabad.

Maroof Afzal said CDA will work for the betterment of Islamabad in consultation with ICCI, the business community and other stakeholders so that it could move forward with consensus to make the federal capital a modern & well-planned city. He said CDA will utilize best of its resources and entire civic body will work as a team to serve the residents of Islamabad.
Speaking at the occasion, Shaban Khalid, President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry said that the close working relationship between CDA and ICCI is crucial to create an enabling environment for business activities to flourish. He said better support and cooperation of CDA will help in expanding trade & industry, strengthening the local economy and creating more jobs.
