CM and evening classes in colleges

Chief Minister (CM) Khyber Pakthunkhwa, Mehmood Khan has directed Higher Education to start evening classes in colleges across the province. CM directive, if implemented in letter and spirit would pave the way for promotion and expansion of education facilities in every nook and corner of KP particularly in the recently merged tribal areas into the settled areas of province.

The Chief Minister Monday review meeting of Higher Education proved useful for  career counseling which the Chief Minister said, would be given to student after 8th class. after career counseling student would be in better position to choose their future line of action. A directive was also issued  to introduce effective system  for online verification of degrees.   During the briefing, it was informed that amount Rs 10 million had been generated through online admissions and this facility admission would be extended to BS level in next three months, says official communique. The govt plans that teachers presence in the merged districts should be made ensured through bio metric system soon. The meeting was told that amount Rs. 410 million had been released during last last six months to enhance capacity building of colleges.

Official of Higher Education informed that 2273 scholarships costing Rs.18 million would be released soon while six Ph d scholarships have been granted to students to get admission among to top ranking university of the world. Moreover, an amount of Rs 169 had been released for Ph d scholarship in universities. As many as 15 scholarship costing Rs. 4.5 million were given to undergraduate students.
