Committee constituted for early completion of IBSP

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) has constituted 6-member committee under Member Admn Amir Ali Ahmad to work for advancing Islamabad Bus Service Project (IBSP) and its early completion.

The members of this committee are Director Construction Ejaz Ahmad Siddiqui, Director Accounts Saeed Ahmad, Director markets and roads maintenance Asad Mehmood Kiyani, director traffic engineering Azam Khan Lodhi and project director BRT Qazi Omar.

Committee will evolve documents pertaining to perfection of companies and determine technical and financial criterion. It will also work out implementation plan of the project and schedule of the plan.

Committee has also been assigned to review bidding documents and prepare service contracts.

CDA will provide state of the art air conditioned bus service to the citizens of federal capital. Three routes have been proposed at initial stage. First route will start from Rawat and terminate at Pak secretariat via Faizabad, Kashmir Highway, 7th avenue and Margalla road. Second route will commence from Bhara Kahu and end at Shaheen Chowk via Kashmir highway, zero point. The third route will run from Pirwadhai More and end at secretariat via I-9, I-10, 9TH avenue, Peshawar More, Karachi company and Jinnah Avenue. 35 to 40 buses will be plied on these routes.
