Consul General UAE meet with Deputy Speaker Sindh Assembly

KARACHI: Consul General of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) BakhitAtiq Al-Ramiti called on Deputy Speaker Sindh Assembly Rehana Leghari at Sindh Assembly today. During the meeting, the Consul General informed about the establishment and facilities of UAE Visa Office in Karachi.

 

On the occasion, the Consul General also met members of various political parties present in the Sindh Assembly and invited them to visit the United Arab Emirates.

 

Upon her arrival at the Sindh Assembly, Deputy Speaker Rehana Leghari took the Consul General on a tour of the new and old historic buildings of the Sindh Assembly and presented him with a gift of Sindh Culture Sindhi Topi and Ajrak.

 

Talking on the occasion, Rehana Leghari said that Sindh Assembly is a historic building. The Sindh Assembly has enacted more and better legislation than other provinces on other issues including protection of women. He said that United Arab Emirates is the brotherly Islamic country of Pakistan which has stood by Pakistan in all difficult times.

 

Expressing his views, the Consul General said that he was very happy to see the female speaker in Sindh. The UAE supports the leading role of women in society. Representation of women in government and non-government organizations in the UAE is steadily increasing. He further said that we are constantly updating and simplifying the system to facilitate visa facilitation for our Pakistani brothers.
