Country’s economy is on ventilator as incumbent govt of PDM & PPP has desperately failed to pull country out of crises: Sirajul Haq

LAHORE: Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Sirajul Haq has said that country’s economy is on ventilator as the incumbent government of the PDM and the PPP has desperately failed to pull the country out of crises.

 

Addressing the meeting at Mansoorah on Wednesday, Sirajul Haq expressed concerns that the collation government of the PDM and the PPP has also failed to provide any relief to the masses like the previous government of the PTI. The meeting discussed the preparations for JI upcoming events including the “national dialogue on economy” and train march.

 

Scheduled to be held on Thursday (today), the leading experts on economy will attend the event while will be presided over by Sirajul Haq who had also served as finance minister of the KP from 2008 to 2013. The meeting discussed the preparations for “Train March” against inflation, interest-based economy and corruption. Starting from Rahim Yar Khan on Saturday, the three-day march will end at Islamabad on Sunday evening. Sirajul Haq will address the gatherings at different platforms throughout the way.

 

Sirajul Haq said the masses had become sandwich in the clash of the ruling parties. It had been proved the three parties were least concerned about the problems of the people, he said.

 

He said the corruption was rampant and the accountability of powerful people was become an uphill task. He said the NAB had turned into a toothless body, having nothing to do with corruption of ruling elite. He said the powerful people had always escaped accountability in the country.

 

He appealed to the people to raise voice against injustice and loot of resources by the rulers. He said until unless the masses would not stand for their rights, no real change could happen in the country.
