Court will itself monitor situation what arises out of possible long march, dharna: LHC Rwp bench

Rawalpindi: Justice Waqas Rauf of Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench has made it clear the court itself will monitor the situation what arises out of possible long march and Dharna in Rawalpindi and it will also review who played what role in the previous installments of dharna.

The court further remarked legal proceedings will be initiated against whosoever is found responsible.

The court gave these remarks during the hearing of the different writ petitions filed against the violation of basic rights of the citizens due to closure of roads during PTI dharnas.

The court issued notice to Imran Khan again on non receipt of notice by PTI chairman earlier.

Commissioner and deputy commissioner Rawalpindi, CPO, CTO, DIG Motorway, representative of ministry of communication and section officer IB appeared in the court.

The lawyers of petitioners were also present on the occasion. Faisal Chaudhry advocate counsel for Asad Umar appeared in the court.

Intelligence Bureau (IB) Director General (DG) filed confidential report in the court about the dharnas.

Communication ministry, deputy commissioner Rawalpindi, additional secretary interior and RPO Rawalpindi filed their reports.

The court remarked about the confidential letter that it should be asked from DG IB can the confidential letter be desealed or otherwise or he wants some privilege therein because the confidential letter will have to be provided to the petitioners as well.

The court while addressing DH Motorway remarked the powers of the motorway police are to such extent that it has to maintain traffic flow.

DIG Motorway told the court we have informed communication ministry in writing.

The court remarked motorway police is working very well. But it is very serious issue which should be taken seriously.

Malik Saleh advocate told the court the district administration is wanting to close the educational institutions during it.

The court remarked the court will monitor whatever situation arises in coming days.

The court adjourned the hearing of the case tail December 05.
