ATTOCK: The local administration launched a fully computerized automated domicile system in its jurisdiction, offering a one-window operation for the applicants of domicile under which they would be issued the certificate on the same day. “There will be one-window operation and people seeking to get their domiciles will get them on the same day on which they applied after submission of the all the necessary documents, ” said assistant commissioner Fazail Mudassir while briefing the newsmen about the newly introduced automated system in the Hassanabdal on Tuesday.

He said that this was a step forward for the issuance of domiciles to the people of Hassanabdal tehsil in hassle-free environment while all the services and facilities will directly be monitored by

Punjab Information Technology Board Lahore to ensure transparency. He added that under one window operation would spare the applicants mostly students precious time and money that was spent on the process earlier. Responding a question, he said that the new domicile issuance

system would make the process efficient and user-friendly, and would have zero chances of duplication or fake domicile issuance. The verification, he said, would be done online as well.

The domicile, he said, would be issued the same day when one would apply for it. The best advantage of this computerised and automated system would be of verification, record-keeping

and a proper backup. “There won’t be any duplication of domicile in future, ” he stressed. He revealed that cancelled stamp vending license of two stamp vendors were canalled after they were found guilty in an inquiry conducted by officials of local administration and revenue department of un necessary delay of issuance of e-stamp paper to the applicants of the domicile including a female applicant. He said no one either from the local administration, revenue department, land record or stamp vendors found guilty of using delaying tactics or hampering the flow of system of issuance of the domicile certificate would be taken to task accordingly.
