Eight miscreants arrested; 32 bikes impounded

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital Territory Police on Monday arrested eight outlaws and recovered 1100 gram hashish and weapons from their

possession, a police spokesman said.

According to details, SSP Islamabad Muhammad Rizwan has directed all police officials to ensure effective security and patrolling measures in their respective areas. Police officials have been directed to take strict action against vehicles being driven without documents and irrelevant persons.

On Monday, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Abbas arrested accused Khalid Mehmood and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him. Sub-Inspector Zulfiqar Ahmed from

CIA police arrested drug peddler Rafique Khan and recovered 1100 gram hashish from him.

ASI Asim Ali from Tarnol police station arrested an accused Fawad–ul-Haq and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him.

ASI Iftikhar Ahmed from Shahzad Town police station arrested three thieves identified as Bashir , Manzoor and Munir

ASI Muhammad Ashraf from Industrial Area police station arrested Abid Masih for having 30 bore pistol. Sub-Inspector Shafique from Sabzi Mandi police station nabbed Ramzan for having 25 gram heroin.

Cases have been registered against them and further investigation is underway.

Meanwhile, Islamabad police impounded 32 bikes and two vehicles during general hold up. Black sheets were removed from eight tinted glasses vehicles while police also apprehended 12 suspects during search operation in various areas of the city.

The SSP Islamabad Muhammad Rizwan has appreciated the overall performance and directed all police officials to ensure effective policing measures in their respective areas.
