ISLAMABAD: Power tariff in respect of consumers of DISCOs and K-Electric is likely to go up.
The electricity tariff for DISCOs consumers is likely to scale up by Rs 2.05 per unit and for K-Electric consumers Rs 1.49 per unit.
Authority will give final decision in this regard after hearing the applications on July 05.
CPPA has filed two applications in NEPRA seeking increase in power tariff for DISCOs consumers by Rs 2.05 per unit and K-Electric consumers Rs 1.49 per unit.
The applications have been filed in NEPRA seeking raise in power tariff under monthly fuel adjustment for the month of May.
According to CPPA application over 11.95 billion units were generated in the month of May. 26.96 percent electricity has been produced from water, 16.78 percent from coal, 1.96 percent from furnace oil. 10.35 percent from local gas, 24.33 percent from imported LNG.
