Fazl to brief PM about his Indian tour

ISLAMABAD: Ameer of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F), Maulana Fazlur Rehman is expected to brief Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif about his recent visit to India which is considered as a part of Track II diplomacy.

According to reports, the prime minister can also give him (Fazl) good news regarding inclusion of his party in the federal cabinet.

Fazl would also inform Nawaz about his meetings with Indian bigwigs including Manmohan Singh, Salman Khurshid and Indian ulema.

It is to be noted that government, following the formula of power-sharing, has already conferred chairmanship of Kashmir committee to Maulana Fazlur Rehman and leader of JUI-F Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani has also been appointed as Chairman, Council of Islamic Ideology.

Meanwhile, it is expected that former chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Akram Khan Durrani would be inducted in the federal cabinet.
