Federal police tightens monitoring of Kacchi Abadi

ISLAMABAD: Federal capital police has decided to take strict measures for the monitoring of ‘Kacchi Abadi’ due to severe security concerns in the city.

Details said, for the first time police has completed the registration process of residents of these ‘Kacchi Abadi’ where more that 91 thousand people are residing in 36 slums.

Following the orders of interior ministry, police of stations visited every single slum of their area and collected particulars of the residents. According to calculations 50 % of people residing there are Afghan nationals.

In Islamabad, this particular population is extended up to areas of Bara Kahu, Bari Imam, Taramari Chowk, Koral, sector G-6,7, H-11 and Tarnol which are considered a safe shelter for outlaw elements.
