First Hajj flight under Govt scheme departs from Islamabad

ISLAMABAD/LAHORE: Road to Makkah  2022 Hajj operation has been launched and first Hajj flight under government scheme departed for Madina Monday morning with 220 Hajj pilgrims on board.

 

According to spokesperson of Ministry of Religious Affairs, thirty two thousand pilgrims will be flown to Saudi Arabia through 106 Hajj flights.

 

Work on Road to Makkah Hajj operation has been started under which first Hajj flight departed from Islamabad early in the morning on Monday.

 

The spokesperson said forty-two flights will be operated from Islamabad under Road to Makkah project.

 

Hajj pilgrims are also being informed about the flights through the website and SMS on their mobile number.

 

The Ministry has urged all Hajj Pilgrims not to enter the premises of Riaz-ul-Jannah without prior permission of Saudi authorities.

 

The Ministry said the Saudi authorities have banned entry to Riaz-ul-Jannah without prior permission.

 

It advised to all pilgrims to follow the procedure according to the directives of Hajj Moawineen after arrival to their residence in Madina.

 

PIA will provide travelling facilities to 15000 pilgrims while private operators will provide travelling facilities to 18000 pilgrims.
