Government extends offer to opposition to amend NAB laws

ISLAMABAD:Government has extended offer to opposition for bringing amendment in NAB laws in order to persuade opposition to participate in National Assembly and Senate sessions and avert opposition protest.

Opposition sources said that government has contacted different opposition leaders and has extended offer to them to amend NAB laws.

Government has proposed to opposition to bring in the form of bill NAB ordinance points saying that opposition should deliberate over it and if opposition has any reservations then amendments can be introduced sin NAB laws with mutual understanding.

Sources said government has provided copy of NAB ordinance to opposition. However opposition has given no immediate reply to government.

Opposition has taken the stance that it will review the matter and then will inform government on this count.

Most of the opposition parties are in parliament and they want to take this decision on PDM platform either the ordinance promulgated by government should be considered in connection with amendment in NAB laws or the law which the opposition has proposed. Government is giving it name of NRO.

Opposition has however given no reply to government
