Govt should allocate Parliament’s seats for Pakistani diaspora: Sirajul Haq

LOWER DIR: Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq said that families and properties of overseas Pakistanis were unsafe in Pakistan. He said their properties were being occupied and they could not obtain justice.

Addressing the convention of Pakistani diaspora from Lower Dir, Sirajul Haq further said the ruling parties were non-serious to sort hardships confronted with overseas Pakistanis and advised the government to allocate seats for them in the Parliament.

He noted that Jamaat-e-Islami took up Pakistani diaspora’s voice first of all as it wanted Pakistanis residing abroad should elect their representatives on their own and then send them to the assemblies. If the elected leaders of those Pakistanis will represent them then their issues would be sorted out, he said. Former MNA Sahibzada Yaqoob and emir district Aizazul Mulk Afkari were also present on the occasion.

He said the Pakistanis residing in Gulf States, Europe, America and other countries, work there and sends billions of rupees to the country which is a biggest support for economy of the country but the rulers and bureaucracy over here resort to delaying tactics in solving their problems. He said the Pakistani ambassadors and staff were not found at offices for sorting out issues of compatriots besides political inductions were made in the embassies.

Sirajul Haq maintained, in Islamabad, Jamaat will hold overseas convention representing all the country during January, saying after coming into power it (Jamaat) will also issue “Muhsan-e-Pakistan Cards” for them. He said separate counters will be established for them at the national airports and added their properties in the country will be fully safeguarded besides setting up best arrangements for education of children of overseas Pakistanis.

He also demanded of the government to decrease the price of national airlines for Pakistani diaspora whereas the country’s airports emigration process and process of obtaining medical certificates be simplified for the sake of facilitating them. He said prompt action needed to be taken in connection with sorting out online complaints of people residing abroad.

Sirajul Haq said that Jamaat-e-Islami raises voice for the safeguard of people from each and every walk of life as well as against the exploitation. He added the rulers rendered millions of youth jobless besides national economy was at the brink of default. Jamaat emir said that they were guardian of rights of youth, farmers and laborers and stand by the depressed segments of the society.
