Govt to set up research institutes to boost livestock production

ISLAMABAD: The Government plans to establish Research Institutes at a cost of Rs 170 million to boost agriculture and livestock production in the country. Media reports said‚ Horticulture Research Institute will be established in Khuzdar‚ Animal Quarantine Station in Gwadar‚ Livestock Research Institute in Turbat‚ Balochistan. A horticulture unit for nursery fruit plant and vegetable seed certification system will also be established. The Government of Sindh has approved to establish five new research centers in Agriculture sector.
