ISLAMABAD: Member National Assembly (MNA) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that government is using dialog process with Taliban as a shield.

On Wednesday, while talking to media outside parliament house, the PTI legislator said that government is not bringing any clear policy regarding terrorism, but surely it has decided to launch operation against Taliban.

Shah Mehmood stated that activities of Taliban are increasing in the country day by day, while government is confused and showing no reaction on it.

“In All Parties Conference (APC), all political parties gave mandate to government to hold talks with Taliban, but still no policy has been presented from the ruling side regarding negotiations”, he added.

Shah Mehmood said, PTI’s stance against terrorism is clear and it will support any measure of government against Taliban, but government should also take opposition in confidence while taking decisions.

“40 years old wounds are being refreshed in Bangladesh and it will give damage to itself, while Pakistan should also adopt clear stance on this issue,” he concluded.
