LAHORE: Without proceeding further , Lahore High Court (LHC) has adjourned till August 12 hearing of the petition against decision regarding physical remand of former Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Pervez Elahi .
The petition came up for hearing before single bench of LHC led by Justice Shehram Sarwar Wednesday.
Anti corruption authorities and others have been made respondents in the petition.
The court had summoned the lawyers for arguments on appeal of Chaudhry Pervez Elahi.
The LHC has already suspended the sessions court decision for presenting Chaudhry Pervez Elahi for physical remand again.
The petitioner has taken the plea judicial magistrate refused to grant physical remand of Chaudhry Pervez Elahi to anti corruption authorities. Judicial magistrate sent Chaudhry Pervez Elahi to jail on judicial remand. Anti corruption challenged the decision of magistrate in sessions court.
It was further said in the petition that the court nullified the decision of judicial magistrate for not granting physical remand of Chaudhry Pervez Elahi.
Sessions court gave illegal decision of granting physical remand of Chaudhry Pervez Elahi.
The petitioner requested the court to nullify the decision of granting physical remand by sessions court.
