I bring a message of peace to India: Maulana Fazl-Ur-Rehman

NEW DELHI/ISLAMABAD: Chairman Kashmir Committee and Chief Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F), Maulana Fazl-Ur-Rehman has said that he has brought a message of peace from Pakistan as priorities of world have changed now.

He was talking to Indian foreign minister Salman Khurshid who called on him in Indian capital on Tuesday.

According to JUI-F secretary information Maulana Muhammad Amjad Khan, Fazl vowed to solve all lingering issues between the two hostile neighbours through consultation and dialogue.

“Pakistan wants cordial relations with all the countries including India on the basis of equality,” JUI-F chief mentioned. Chairman Kashmir committee informed Indian Foreign minister that people to people contacts can bring positive change in ties of both countries. Both dignitaries discussed overall security situation and bilateral matters, exchange of parliamentary delegations and other issues during the call on.

“Dream of consistent peace in sub-continent and across the world can only be achieved when tolerance and mutual respect should be given extended,” he added.He suggested that all problems including Kashmir dispute should be solved across the table and both countries should express open mind and open heart for this purpose. On the occasion, Indian Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid admitted that he agreed with the suggestion of JUI-F chief about extension of people to people contacts. “This will start new era of cordial relations,” he mentioned.
