ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) while nullifying the PTI leader Asad Umar arrest has ordered to release him.

The case against arrest of Asad umar and provision of details of the cases against him came up for hearing before single bench of IHC led by Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb Wednesday.

Babar Awan counsel for Asad Umar appeared in the court.

Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb remarked 'they will not spare you unless you hold press conference.

Babar Awan replied we will not hold press conference.

Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb remarked there are two tweets of Asad Umar. These should be deleted immediately.

Babar Awan said although it is a news but we will comply with your orders.

Babar Awan requested order be issued to present Asad Umar in this court.

Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb remarked the cases against Asad Umar are before me. If I issue any order then it is not known to me what will happen tomorrow.

The counsel told the court we had filed petition for provision of details of cases and protective bail. We want give us two days so that release takes place and we surrender before the respective court. We want protective bail in respect of the criminal cases which have been registered.

Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb remarked we had asked Shah Mehmood Qureshi to file affidavit. Only this was there that section 144 is not violated.

Counsel Babar Awan said people hurled threats on courts before it. Protest is our right.

The court while declaring arrest of Asad Umar null and void under MPO ordered to release him.

Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb remarked we are reserving the judgment in respect of two courts wherein bail is being sought.

The court directed that Asad Umar should file affidavit. If affidavit is violated then he should forget his political career. Two tweets should also be deleted.
